pcAnywhere is a remote desktop management program offered by Symantec. A suite of computer programs that consisted of tools to control other computers remotely. Any computers connected to the same network and have pcAnywhere host installed with accounts logged in could be controlled. The interface from the admin computer features some set of tools, including taking a snapshot of the host screen and screen recording for later replay. The standard admin feature set offers more options than the web version.

The interface from the client computer has an option to “call out” to control stations and send connection details. As compared to its alternative LogMeIn and Kaseya, you won’t be able to know the firewall details. This situation could be handled via gateway options as a 3rd party software. The suite was discontinued in 2014 after acknowledging a security breach.
